Three New Hanover County restaurants made this week's Kitchen Cops low performer's list.
The lowest score belongs to Echo Farms Golf and Country Club. Chili on the stove was too cold. Other foods were being served from a table without sneeze guards or temperature controls. And there was no sanitizer provided. Nine violations in all for a score of 84.
Down Carolina Beach Road to Monkey Barz. There was a live roach in the ice machine, fruit flies in the bar area and dead roaches behind the ice machine. There was hamburger and sausage with old dates stored in wax paper and hamburger in zip top bags. And raw chicken was stored on top of blueberries in the freezer. 84.5 for Monkey Barz.
Finally to Bdobo Mongolian Grill on South College Road. The inspector found roaches and fruit flies in food serve and prep areas. Handwash sinks need soap and disposable towels. And several things need cleaning. 86 for Bdobo.
Three New Hanover County restaurants received high marks in this week's Kitchen Cops report. Chelsea's Wine Bar on South Front Street in Downtown Wilmington need to clean the floors in a few places. A half-point violation plus a two-point bonus for workers passing a food safety course and a total score of 101.5.
The same score goes to the Trolley Stop Downtown. Just a half-point off because lights in the back storage room and the hand sink need to be fixed.
And up Front Street to Bottega Art & Wine with a perfect 100.
