Kitchen Cops 8/13/09

READ MORE:
Health inspectors found three high performers in this week's Kitchen Cops report. We begin with the Pink Pig Café on Princess Street in Downtown Wilmington. A perfect 100, plus two points for workers passing a food safety course. The same top score of 102 belongs to Temptations Everyday Gourmet in Porters Neck. It's the second time in two months Temptations has earned top honors. Finally a newcomer to the high performers list. Charlie's Boardwalk Subs at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk scored a perfect 100. And a couple of recent low performers get a second chance. We begin with Caribbay Soul on Front Street in Downtown Wilmington. The slicer needs to be cleaned and sanitized after use, and the restaurant had a few maintenance issues, but no reports of an unapproved buffet like last time around. An improvement from 86.5 to 93.5. And China Wok on Oleander Drive scored an 85.5 during its last inspection. This time around there were roaches under the prep sink and some cleaning was needed, but an improvement to 94.
