Kitchen Cops 9/18/08

Another week without any low performers in our Kitchen Cops report. But there are a couple of high performers.

This week's highest score belongs to Sunset Gourmet in Sunset Beach. The inspector said the front of the cabinet in the wait station needs to be replaced, but no scored infractions. Add a two-point bonus for workers passing a food safety course and a score of 102.

And a new restaurant joins the high performers list. Stonewall Grill at 620 South College Road in Wilmington lost half a point because dry goods need to be labeled and scoops need handles. 99.5 for Stonewall Grill.

There is a serious

There is a serious infestation problem at K&W. When I left there, a cockroach was crawling down my leg! I kicked my leg so hard that my foot hit something in the car and I cracked my big toenail. It bled for days. I don't see how their score is so high when the building is visibly dirty. Just look in the crack of the seats that's probably what's feeding their army of roaches!

I would pay the county to go into the restaurant after the lights have been out for an hour.Why? Can you say a plethora of roaches! The last grade was 91 but I could not tell which year it was from? Dept. of health get the hint, or maybe the army of roaches has you submissive.Fix it!
