Laney students sign to play college ball

Friday was a huge day for several Laney High School student athletes who signed National Letters of Intent. Senior Lacy Wildeboer signed with Chowan College where she will continue her stellar softball career. Nikki Lynch, the daughter of Laney Athletic Director and Boys Basketball Coach Fred Lynch, signed with Winston-Salem State University, also to play softball. She and Lacy will be on separate fields after being teammates for years. Basketball standout Antwan Bosier signed with Southeastern Illinois Junior College where he will look to improve his game, and then go on to play Division 1 ball.
