Pender County's plans to purchase a boat ramp in Hampstead may be on hold.

Members of a homeowners association have filed a lawsuit. They claim the sale would interfere with an easement allowing residents of Pecan Grove to use the boat ramp and its 17 parking spots.

The lawsuit asks the court for preliminary and permanent injunctions, claiming the proposed public boat ramp would harm the easement's value.
