Firefighters hit road to honor fallen friend

Garrett Loomis was a Wilmington firefighter from September 2007 to January 2009. He died over the weekend while responding to a silo fire as a volunteer with the Sackets Harbor Fire Department in New York.

Trash Day changes for many next week in Wilmington

Wilmington opens state's first bike boulevard Saturday

The city will officially open the state’s first bicycle boulevard on Saturday. There will be a grand opening for the Ann Street Bicycle Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Ann Street between 9th and 10th streets.

Two charged for robbing cabbie

A sixty eight year old cab driver for Yellow Cab out of Wilmington was approached by the two suspects and demanded his money by threatening him. The victim gave the two suspects the cash that he had and the suspects ran into the woods.

Man shot in leg while walking home

The male victim reported that he was walking home when he noticed a white van pull up behind him. He said he heard several shots and realized he'd been shot in the leg.
