Brunswick escapee caught in Maryland

Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has retrieved Rosher Rodriguez-Aguilar from Maryland. Rodriguez-Aguilar escaped from the Brunswick County Detention Center back in September of 2009.

Azalea Festival Parade will begin with special flyover

U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today that he has requested and secured permission from the Pentagon for a flyover to honor NC's military families at the beginning of Saturday's Azalea Festival Parade.

NHCS announces make-up schedule for Wrightsboro Elementary School

New Hanover County Schools has established the make-up schedule for Wrightsboro Elementary School students in grades 1 – 5. Wrightsboro students missed five days of school in March when the district had to close the Wrightsboro campus for mold remediation.

Peacemaker crew enjoying Port City visit

video If you've been down to the Wilmington Riverfront this week, you've probably noticed the 150-foot tall ship the Peacemaker. The 15 crew members arrived in the Port City Tuesday for the Azalea Festival after spending the winter in Savannah.
