Fees may increase for trash in Brunswick County

Brunswick County residents might have to pay more to dump their trash. The board of commissioners has voted to increase waste water fees 14.3 percent, and increase construction and demolition fees from $49 to $56 per ton.

Exit ramp in Leland sees reduction for safety reasons

If you are driving to Leland, you may notice a slight change in your route. The Department of Transportation recently reduced the exit ramp to 17 South from Highway 421 near the battleship to one lane.

Officers now set to patrol Holden Beach
