State funds are now available for victims of this area's flooding three weeks ago. Small businesses, homeowners, and renters may be eligible for low interest loans to pay for flood damage caused by a severe storm on July 6th.

Federal stimulus money helps add to WPD staff

There was some good news Tuesday for the Wilmington Police Department. The WPD is getting 2 million dollars in federal stimulus money to hire more officers. Chief Ralph Evangelous and Mayor Bill Saffo held a joint news conference Tuesday at City Hall.

Family and friends remember Emmitt Irving

Former WWAY station manager passes at age 85

A former member of the WWAY family has died. Charles Dayton Martin Jr. was a station manager at WWAY for several years in the 1980's. He was a big part of the Wilmington media; serving in leadership roles at WMFD Radio and WECT TV before coming to WWAY.
