Business booms during the Fourth of July in Carolina Beach

Vehicle flipped after running a red light

A two-car accident on New Centre Drive flipped one car upside down this morning. According to Wilmington police, a Jeep ran a red light at the intersection of New Centre and Market streets. Another SUV traveling across Market Street hit the Jeep, flipping it.
