Eastbound and Down to continue

HBO gave the green light to a second season for comedy series Eastbound and Down. The first season of the series about Kenny Powers, a washed-up loud-mouthed baseball pitcher, was shot here in Wilmington.

WPD looking for surfboard pawners

The Wilmington Police Department needs your help tracking down two people who tried to pawn a stolen surfboard. Several surfboards were reported missing from a house on March 6th and March 16th. Police said a man and woman tried to sell one of them at College Road Pawn.

Elementary schools in Brunswick County will see uniforms

Fish confiscated, donated to local charity

videoDuring March and April, fishermen aren't allowed to sell or purchase black or gag grouper because it is their spawning season. According to North Carolina law, every commercial fishing boat must have a commercial fishing license. Marine patrol officers say the boat Captain Star violated both of these laws.
