WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Elizabeth Edwards made a lot of friends in the Port City. One couple had the privilege of knowing and working with her.
Nancy and Stan Bozarth worked with Edwards during campaigns. They describe her as grace under fire.
While her husband John Edwards was campaigning for president, Elizabeth Edwards was connecting with people and winning their hearts.
"Elizabeth was just an absolute dynamo-force to be reckoned with," Nancy Bozarth said.
A determined and loving woman, wife and mother is how Bozarth sums up Elizabeth. Nancy and her husband Stan devoted their time to the Edwards campaign. Nancy says Elizabeth always acknowledged hard work and gave thanks.
"She was such a voice, such a voice for so many people, and that's why I'm so upset," Nancy said.
It's a voice now silenced, but it's a legacy that lives on. Nancy Bozarth is proud she knew Elizabeth Edwards.
"Elizabeth had such a sense of mission about her family and being an advocate for people that we going through what she was going through," Bozarth said.

This interview is a shallow
This interview is a shallow sham. This couple has been climbing all over local Dems for the last several years to get into the Edwardses inner circle. Did they call and request the interview? There are so many more worthy people in Port City who would have given a worthy interview.
Remembering Elizabeth Edwards
I have to agree with the couple that she's a very wonderul women that did some good things...even through the tough time she again carried herself with pride, respect and compassion for the greater good of others!!! She will be missed!!! Our prayers are with her family...
