Local Red Cross chapter helps with midwest floods

WILMINGTON--The local Red Cross chapter has over a hundred disaster relief volunteers. since our area is considered a high risk zone for natrual disaster, the American Redcross will only send a few from our area. Right now, one member from the local chapter is in Wisconsin helping with relief operations. Another member is scheduled to leave for Iowa Monday. Director of Emergency Services for the Cape Fear Red Cross chapter says, "We have another five or so volunteers who have cleared their schedules in case they are needed to assist with any disaster relief operations that are currently going on."
