NEW HANOVER COUNTY -- There could be a danger still lurking in your local grocery store. The New Hanover County Health Department says some area stores have been selling recalled canned meat linked to an outbreak of botulism. Investigators say recalled meat by Castleberry and other brands was found in 11 percent of stores in New Hanover County. The recall came after the meat was linked to an outbreak of botulism which can cause paralysis. So far no cases of the illness have been reported in this area.
