BRUNSWICK COUNTY -- The attempt of some local workers to unionize has failed. Employees at the Brunswick Nuclear Power Plant rejected the plan to organize Thursday. They voted 499 to 157 against the idea. Supporters of the shot at organizing say it is still a victory. Managers at the plant say they plan to address the issues that prompted union talks, including benefits concerns and the lack of communication.
