The City of Wilmington re-opened another public park Friday. After a year of construction and renovations, the park on Princess Place is officially back open. The $1.4 million project was funded by the 2006 bond referendum. Residents are looking forward to taking advantage of the park where they used to spend time. "We had our 25th family reunion here, we had a great time,” said Geraldine Pollock. “I came back to see the re-opening, so I came just to see how it looks, hopefully we have another one in the next 3 years." During the renovation, the recreation center was expanded, the trails were improved, and there is a new playground, all of which are now open to the public.
