Brunswick County sheriff's deputies are on the look out tonight after a prisoner was accidentally released from the county jail. A little after 8:00 Sunday evening, Rosher Rodriquez-Aguilar was let go by authorities. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Rodriguez-Aguilar had been planning the release for at least two weeks and stole another inmate's identity. He was booked in mid-September under a failure to appear warrant and being held under bond, and an immigration and customs enforcement detainer. Authorities say Rodriguez-Aguilar may be in northern Brunswick County or New Hanover. He's not considered a threat to public safety. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 800-642-6379.

First of all, I am sure

First of all, I am sure there are policies and procedures in place, however policies and procedures do no good if the person/people don't follow them. Secondly, I happen to know that the person/people involved will suffer consequences. Thirdly, I highly doubt he is back in Mexico beings that is the reason he was planning the escape. ICE was coming to pick him up after he served his sentence to deport him back to Mexico.

NHC correct BSD didn't learn

This happened in New Hanover County.. New policies and procedures were put in place to make sure it never happened again, and it hasn't.. You'd figure a dept. one county over would have taken a lesson from that and implemented the same procedures.. But no.. them good ol boys like em the ol fashioned way.. They does it there way with as few teeths as possibles...

gee

Dude is probably already back in Mexico. He will never be found. Way to go Brunswick county !!

Man accidentally set free

There is no cause for this type of mistake if the person doing the releasing was paying attention. If I were Sheriff Ingram, that person would be fired. What was he/she thinking? The man may not be a threat, but he wasn't in jail for nothing.

how is this possible?

I agree with you 100%. I would not want to live in this county knowing that prisoners are escapeing! I mean seriously who was the one to do this?? They should be fired! This tells me what type of people we have that are working for our county!
