Some of us have trouble hitting the treadmill and running a few miles to stay in shape, but one man is running thousands of miles around the perimeter of the country and he passed through our area today. Reza Baluchi started his trip in mid June in New York City. Baluchi is attempting to break a current world record for the longest solo run around the perimeter of the us. That record is more than ten thousand miles in nine months. Baluchi hopes to do it in six months. He made his way through our area down highway 17 today. In order to break the record, Baluchi has to run an average of 60 miles a day. He is also running to raise money for the children's hospital in Denver, Colorado.
