GREENSBORO -- A New York company that makes a license plate recognition system is expanding a Greensboro facility that will add up to 100 jobs. The News & Record of Greensboro reported Wednesday that ELSAG North America Law Enforcement Systems will add 12,000 square feet for a new manufacturing facility to its technical support center. The company said workers will produce the Mobile Plate Hunter-900. The system mounts on the top of a patrol car and uses special cameras to capture 20 to 30 license plates per second. That information is matched to the FBI's National Crime Information list. Information from: News & Record, http://www.news-record.com (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
