CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- The Marine Corps' elite units are teaming with one of North Carolina's top universities to improve training on national security issues.
The partnership will allow professors at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and personnel at the Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command at Camp Lejeune to share information, research and expertise in national security issues. UNC and the Marines will sign the partnership on Thursday afternoon at the Marine base.
Fort Bragg and UNC signed a partnership last year in Chapel Hill.
