It's a challenge expecting parents face… coming up with a name for their child. One local couple found a little inspiration from our newscast. Mauceri Anirra Greene was born April 19th. Her parents Shamika Barnett and Maurice Greene are big fans of WWAY. Two months before Mauceri's birth, the couple still hadn't decided on a name. One evening, Maurice tuned into our newscast and saw a story by our reporter, Joe Mauceri. He thought the name just had a certain ring to it, but he wasn't sure what Shamika would think. “I didn't know what she was going to think. Then she told me to tell everybody where I got it from, and I told them the news man.” Shamika approved and today Mauceri met Mauceri. Joe had a chance to stop by and visit with the newborn. It turns out their birthdays are only nine days apart. According to ancestry.com, Mauceri means strength and energy. Shamika says the baby has plenty of both.
