Meetings begin for redistricting Brunswick County schools

Two meetings will take place this week to discuss redistricting Brunswick County schools.

The school board has released a preliminary draft of a few redistricting options.

Students currently enrolled at Bolivia Elementary, Shallotte Middle, South Brunswick Middle and Virginia Williamson Elementary fall within proposed district lines for the new Cedar Grove Middle School.

Town Creek Elementary School's preliminary district lines include students from Lincoln Primary and Belville and Bolivia elementary schools.

The first public forum is Tuesday night at 6:30 in the Supply Elementary School gym. The second is Wednesday at 6:30, in the Leland Middle School gym.
