Memorial service for slain North Carolina student leader draws 10,000

CHAPEL HILL (AP) -- The father of the slain University of North Carolina student body president wants thousands of mourners to find solutions to the world's violence, prejudice and inequity. The shooting death of 22-year-old Eve Carson of Athens, Georgia, stunned the community. Carson's body was found about a mile from the Chapel Hill campus earlier this month. An estimated 10,000 people attended a memorial service at the campus basketball arena yesterday. Bob Carson did not speak but offered a statement challenging his daughter's fellow students to tackle the world's problems. Several of Carson's friends talked about her ability to excite and to mentor. Seventeen-year-old Laurence Lovette and 21-year-old Demario Atwater of Durham are charged with murder in what police say was a random act. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. How in the world can a momma stand this kind of brutality? A mother who carried this child for 9 months, and watched her walk and talk and get through all of the schooling and then become student body president? How can someone even think about pulling that rug out from under another human being????????? That kind of pain cannot be memorialized. That kind of pain can only be eased by the death penalty. North Carolina State Law enforcement against violence better wake up. We still have the murderer on the run from the innocent child and mother murdered in Jacksonville by the illegal military personnel named Ceasar Lorean who fled back to Mexico. WAKE UP AMERICA

Where is the Al Sharptons when a student body president is murdered gang style and left her body in the street. The deaths in this country are way more than the numbers in Iraq, which are caused by violence, alcohol, drugs, or illegals killing illegals and others. WAKE UP AMERICA. An foreign exchange pre-med student and a pre-med student body president and the Rainbow Co-a-li-tion can make all of the excuses and crybaby statements they want. WAKE UP AMERICA. CIVIL RIGHTS belong to ALL people no matter what color their mom or dad's skin was. This killing is inexcusable, you know it, I know it, and everyone knows it. Everyone should be marching in the street with "we will overcome". No one is teaching and no one is getting through to those who do not have children yet, that disrespecting one another has got to STOP. WAKE UP AMERICA.
