Mexicans celebrate Day of the Dead

READ MORE:
For the past two days Mexicans have been celebrating the dead. Dia de Los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, is a three-day holiday when most Mexicans believe the spirits of their dead loved ones come back to visit. They create altars with candles, food, drinks, and flowers. Skeleton-shaped decorations and candies are popular and a special bread is made only on this holiday. Day of the Dead isn't only celebrated in Mexico. Esmeralda Mondragon celebrates day of the dead. She said, "The special part of this day is because we feel their presence and we think they come to visit." Mondragon owns a Wilmington food store and says the holiday isn't celebrated in the United States in the same capacity as in her home country of Mexico.
