She gave it her best, but Miss USA's Kristen Dalton did not bring home the crown in the 2009 Miss Universe pageant, but the Wilmington native did make the top ten.
The pageant took place Sunday night in the Bahamas.
Miss Venezuela walked away with the coveted title for a second year in the row. Eighteen-year-old Stefania Fernandez was crowned the winner.
