READ MORE: Man missing, police suspect foul play
JOHNSTON COUNTY -- Police suspect foul play in the case of a Wilmington man who has been missing for three days. Martin Garza was last seen at the Wal-Mart in Wallace on Monday. His truck was found in Johnston County early Tuesday but there was no sign of Garza. Police are asking for any information about the disappearance of 43 year-old martin Garza. Duplin County Sheriff Blake Wallace said, "We are asking for the public's help in trying to locate Mr. Martin Garza, who at this point is a missing persons. This is a cooperative investigation between the Duplin County Sheriff's Office, the Johnston County Sheriff's Office, the Wilmington Police Department, the Wallace police department and the State Bureau of Investigation." Garza's last known address is this downtown Wilmington house. Nobody answered the door and there was a for rent sign out front. No word on why Garza was in Wallace -- the last place he was seen. Sheriff Wallace said, "The investigation will be continuing, and hopefully we will learn more information about Mr. Garza'a whereabouts and those folks who may have been with him prior to his disappearance." Garza, who works in construction, is described as five-foot-six, 220 to 230 pounds. He has this tattoo on his right hand and this tattoo on his upper left arm. His truck is a 2006 black GMC four-door pickup. Barry McConnell found it in this lot, at his car dealership in Johnston County. McConnell said, "They actually parked right here, you can still see the spots from where they pulled it up onto the roll back." McConnell also has surveillance video from Monday night of what he says appears to be two men getting out of Garza's truck and getting into another car. McConnell said, "When the detective pulled up they found a .9 millimeter shell casing inside of it." If you know anything about this case please call the Duplin County Sheriff's Office at 296-2150.

This message is for Martin Garza himself. It would be what I would have said to him if I had the chance. Martin, I will miss you dearly! Danny and I talked about you last night and remembered the trip to Disney World that we all took. The picture of all of us in front of the Castle with you looking at the pretty girl passing by as we all stared at the camera! The Marine Corp training that you told me about and the classic mini bike rides that we would take. I miss that and will forever miss you. God rest your soul and hope to see again one day! Until then, devil dog...rest in peace. Your loving nephew, SFC David DeLeon

Mr. Garza

Mr. Garza was in all likelihood trying to help thse 2 guy's in some way,To them he looked like an easy mark.It is all bad no matter how you look at it. Violent crime is already in Wilm.and the worst is still yet to come from outlying areas. I feel the plan put into "action" if that is what you want to call it by the semi-new Police Chief is clearly not working and need to be at the very least tweaked. Maybe he needs a little help from someone that can run a PD in their town near the same size as Wilm. Couldn't hurt.. Right?? To proud to ask then HIS boss need's to ask. I lived in the lil Texas town he came from and he had the same problem there and when I lived there we were quite a bit smaller that Wilm. I was shocked when he was hired here, because I had seen him in action daily as I was married to a patrol officer that worked with the Chief. It was and seems still is a case of too many chiefs and not enough indians. To Mr. Garza's family, my thought's and prayers are with you in this horrific time that you are going through. Many people are wishing you hope and caring. My last gasp, Keep on the police daily, do not let them put you off, talk to supervisors, go down there at least twice a week between calls. DO NOT LET THEM FORGET Mr. Garza.

Get your facts right first.

Ok, sorry about your friend. But what the hell are you talking about when it comes to "staying on the PD" about this. It sounds like your trying to say that Wilmington PD is primary in this case. If so you are lost my friend. WPD shouldn't have anything to do with this other than he owned a home here. This is a Pender and Johnston Co. case. WPD has no jurisdiction in this crime. So why would you even hint that the Chief is incompetent? How about you get the facts straight before you are so critical next time. You have no idea what you are talking about here. You said....."My last gasp, Keep on the police daily, do not let them put you off, talk to supervisors, go down there at least twice a week between calls."...... Again I do not understand half of what you wrote but maybe you should try the responsible agency first. Maybe the reason you feel like you are being "blown off" is because nobody at the WPD knows what the hell your talking about. Thank god you're not investigating this horrible crime.

Martin Garza is my father,

Martin Garza is my father, and for all you reporters and critics trying to bash my father at a time like this disturbs me deeply. Although he had a past, he still was a human being and was still my FATHER! He was a great man and helped people out when he could. He would give his last dollar to someone in need if he had to. For those who didnt know him and are so quick to criticize him look at yourself. How great of a person does that make you? LET MY FATHER REST IN PEACE!!!! LET OUR FAMILY HAVE THE RESPECT THAT WE DESERVE AND LEAVE HIS NAME OUT OF YOUR FOUL MOUTH. MAY GOD BLESS YOU! PAMELA LYN GARZA!!!!!

your dad

i new your dad from when he lived in fort worth, he was real close to my father "he called him dad" i just wanted to say sorry for your loss. i knew him really well and that guy really loved life!! i wish you and your new child well and may the lord give mando garza eternal rest.

Martin (The Big boss)

My brother Pedro and I used to work for Martin he liked us alot because we always had his back on the job.every afternoon we would go eat dinner or have a few MILLER LITES HIS FAVORTITE BEER.He would always pay for everybody,he would never let us pay, thats just the kind of person he was.The day he disappered early in the morning we were on our way to work he was telling us that his daughter in texas was pregnant and he was going to be a grandpa,he was so excited. That day he was on his to take my brother home from work and he got a phone call and he asked Pedro to ride with him somewhere when they got there the two supects were there they asked Martin to go with them Martin turned around and told Pedro to wait there for 20 minutes ever since then he never heard from him.I hope they find them soon they took apart of our life too,I can only imagine what they took from the family.MARTINE (rest in peace)TONY TORRES!TE EXTRANAMOS EL CHINGOS COMO TU DECIAS!

I am sorry

I know certain loved ones of Mr. Garza, and I would just like to say I am truely sorry. I felt such compassions going out to his family, and I would like to say that I am truely sorry that this case has not received the attention that it should have. No matter what a person does in their lifetime, they will always have people that know and love them and that are devasted with the loss. I truely hope they find who done this and give Mr. Garza, God rest his soul, and his family the closure and truth they so deserve!

MARTIN GARZA IS MY UNCLE,

MARTIN GARZA IS MY UNCLE, THE REPORT ALSO NEVER STATED THAT HE WAS A U.S. MARINE. THANKS FOR THE SYMPATHY!!!
