A mobile home fire claimed the life of one Oak Island resident Tuesday. The body of 51-year-old Trina Villarreal was found inside her charred mobile home at 7806 East Oak Island Drive around 5:30 this morning. The State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the cause. One possibility is a burning cigarette.

Mobile Home Fire

My prayers go out to the family of this lady. There are many mobile homes in this area that has withstood more than one hurricane and yes they are also nice built homes. This mister WilmingtonMAJ needs to get a life.He is probley just another yankee that has come south that wants to tell everyone how they did it up north.Mr WilmingtonMAJ if you have that big of a problem with it find the U haul rental company.Rent a big truck pack all of your belongings and hit I40 until you get to I 95 and carry your yankee butt back to where you come from.As you are leaving carry a few friends. Rest in peace Trina

I was very sorry to hear

I was very sorry to hear about this tragedy this morning. I knew her from her job. She always greeted me with a smile. Her kindness will be missed. My condolences to her friends and family.

Trina and Sonny will be missed........Heaven has called home a wonderful person. The Island will never be the same.

Trina Villarreal

We were very saddened to hear of this tragedy. Trina was such a friendly face, from years ago at Atlantic Coast Market, at Jones Seafood and at for years at Food Lion. She was also so caring, asking about my family and telling me about her grandaughter and that she had just welcomed a new grandbaby. Her friendly face and wonderful work ethic will be sadly missed. Blessings of healing to her family.

Very sad!

Hearing this makes me so very sad. Sunshine you will be in my prayers. Trina was such a loving free spirit.
