Monkey attacks store clerk

BURKE COUNTY -- A store clerk in Burke County is recovering tonight, after being attacked by a monkey. A customer came into the Family Food Mart with a pet monkey on his shoulder. When the clerk went to pet the monkey, it bit her on the cheek. The clerk is taking antibiotics as a precaution, but animal control officers say the pet monkey had all of its shots, so she shouldn't have anything to worry about.

What is it with people these days taking their pets everywhere? I love my dogs more than anything, but I don't take them into Lowe's or to shopping centers, or I saw a lady at baskin robbins with her dog. And when did it become acceptable to take a monkey into a store? And then to blame the lady for petting it...seriously wouldn't you think it was safe if the idiot took it into a store.
