Murrayville recycling center re-opens

A popular New Hanover County recycling site is back open. The recycling spot in the Lowe's Foods parking lot in the Murrayville area was closed last month after residents of a nearby apartment complex complained about trash blowing onto their property. Crews have moved the bins to the other side of the lot and put up a fence. People who recycle at the site are happy to see it back. “I live in Bent Tree so its just around the corner. I've been taking them to Castle Hayne and that's kind of a long drive. This is kinda nice; saves me a lot of time, and lot of trouble,” said Dave Douthit. Seven recycling containers were returned to the lot.

should have done this to begin with...nevertheless, I'm glad its back!

That is awesome. I finally was able to get my husband into recycling and the first trip to this facility for him was when we found out it was closed. Now if we could only get the county to help with Curbside recycling at our homes. We are so behind the times and other counties in our state are way ahead of us and have for years!!!!
