Does your website bite?

READ MORE: Does your website bite?
Wilmington Design Company is sponsoring a contest to find the ugliest site on the web. You can submit your own website or one you've come across to and then vote on the most unattractive site by clicking a lemon, based on a scale from "sour" to "totally bites". The winner gets a free website makeover worth five grand. “We thought you know what, why don't we honor these websites that are totally ugly and do like an extreme makeover for these people,” said Keith Riggs of Wilmington Design Company. Some of the contestants include the Piggly Wiggly, the Pet Place in Wilmington, and Hot Wax Surf Shop across from UNCW. Hot Wax manager Michael Paul was surprised when he found out someone anonymously submitted his site. "It makes me laugh a little bit because we don't think it does. We do like it and I don't really know too much I would change about it, other than just keep it fun." Paul says is fun because it has a live web cam that shows surfers how good the waves are. Well that, and also when you log on, you hear Paul singing and playing music. "You know a lot of guys like it, some people probably get a headache, but it's fun." Paul took the news pretty well and decided being in the contest may not be so bad after all. "As long as the makeover includes bikini models they can bring it on!" Unfortunately for Michael Paul, the makeover does not include bikini models, but he's now entered to win that five thousand dollar website makeover. The winner will be selected by a combination of visitors’ and judges' votes. The deadline for submissions is June 28th.
