GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele is stopping in North Carolina to talk up a new television commercial he hopes will generate campaign funds for the GOP.
A party official said Steele was scheduled to talk with reporters in Greensboro on Monday to unveil the ad, which will run on cable in selected markets considered Republican strongholds. The ad calls on viewers to make a donation.
Greensboro is one of several stops next week to tout the campaign advertisement by Steele, the former lieutenant governor of Maryland.
