Natural gas rates to possibly go down

Piedmont Natural Gas Company today filed for a reduction in its billing rates for customers in North and South Carolina. The company said it reflects the recent drop in the wholesale cost of gas. The rate reductions could save customers about 7 percent here in our state. If approved, the new rates would go into effect on January 1st.

lets see if Progress Energy drops ITS prices because of the DRASTIC drop in cost of doing business...ACTUALLY they SHOULD be sitting pretty right now....I won't hold my breath for fear of dying first!
