NC and SC canine units take part in fall trials

Police departments from North and South Carolina are meeting in Carolina Beach for the canine unit fall trails. Canine teams participated in certification and competition drills. It is all aimed at making sure they are ready when they hit the streets. Jason Cummings of Kure Beach said, "This is something that we do to certify our dogs to show that there is a standard for which the dogs are required to perform on the street and be proficient.” The trials will run until Saturday and they are open to the public.
