RALEIGH, NC (AP) -- The State Board of Elections is meeting to certify the results of an election that saw Republicans gain ground across North Carolina.
Elections officials will meet Tuesday morning in Raleigh. The canvass comes a few days after a recount in the 2nd Congressional District led Democratic Rep. Bob Etheridge to concede his race to Republican candidate Renee Ellmers.
One state House race remains in dispute. Republican candidate Jackie Warner lost her bid for a new election in Cumberland County on Monday but has said she may take her case to the State Board of Elections. Warner lost her race to Democratic state Rep. Rick Glazier by 46 votes.
