NC gang member files for Greensboro City Council

READ MORE:
GREENSBORO -- A man who says he's a member of a gang called North Carolina Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation has filed to run for an at-large seat on Greensboro's City Council. The News & Record of Greensboro reported Friday that 32-year-old Jorge Cornell filed Thursday. Last year, Cornell held a news conference where he called for peace among local gangs. He also has asked blacks and Latinos to work together against racism. Last month, Cornell called for Greensboro's police gang unit to be dismantled, citing what he called ongoing harassment against the Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation. Cornell's candidacy paperwork indicates he has been convicted of a felony. The newspaper didn't specify the charge but Brenda Wallace of the Guilford County Board of Elections said a conviction does not disqualify a candidate. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. gangbanger running for city council seat

That gangbanger is borrowing a age from the Scorcese movie "Dearly Departed". I cannot believe that a felony conviction doesn't prevent one from running for city council seat. Why does that not surprise me after seeing what the former governor was up while in office?

Don't be surprised if he

Don't be surprised if he wins. Can't be much worse than what we already have.

What in the world?????? Of

What in the world?????? Of COURSE he wants to run get in with the good people and lower the ability to stop all the crimes that gangs commit!
