ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Gov. Beverly Perdue says a package of
small business initiatives she wants state lawmakers to pass would
help protect the backbone of North Carolina's economy and hasten an
economic recovery.
Perdue unveiled several initiatives Friday morning at an event
in Asheville to help small businesses succeed, including tax
incentives and grants.
She also want lawmakers returning to Raleigh next month to
expand on her executive order giving favorable treatment to North
Carolina firms seeking state contracts.
She wants to give favorable capital gains treatment for the
founding interests on a company, revive a tax credit for small
businesses who provide health insurance to lower-income workers and
offer a tax break for equipment purchases.

Gov Plan for Business
Gov Perdue does not really have a plan to help business in NC and now the state is making it a requirement for students to have health insurance in order to enroll for a college education. What is going on in this state? She appears to be totally out of touch.
