NC hospital building $750,000 anti-terror fence

ASHEVILLE -- A veterans hospital in the mountains of North Carolina is building a massive anti-terrorism fence. The Asheville Citizen-Times reported Monday that the Charles George Veterans Affairs Hospital is building a $750,000 fence around the hospital's perimeter to prevent a suicide bomber. Officials say the hospital could be a target because military facilities are harder to hit. Some Asheville residents think the money should be spent elsewhere. The project is part of the second phase of security upgrades. The first phase, completed in 2007, included barricades around liquid oxygen tanks and cost more than $500,000. Get more paranoid! This is the biggest waste of money Ive ever heard of! An anti-"terrorist" fence in Asheville for a cool 750,000? Seriously how dumb is that? This country is completely out of control with this "terrorist" fear based agenda. A handful of people take over planes and now the entire world is upside down and Trillions lost. Not including the millions of innocent civilians thaT YES the United States has killed and of course the thousands of our own and our allies Men and Woman just following orders of failed policy. I want to see the poll of how many Americans even realize that Saddam, the taliban, and Al Queda are all completely different entities. ...bottom line as it related to this "terror" fence, this is just one more example of the paranoid public over reacting to "fear" pushed onto the public from the White House soley to get us (the public) to allow trillions to be spent and our rights to be completely eroded. The United States has now become a country of warrantless wire-taps, No Habus Corpus if a government official declares so, and torture. Not to mention invading soveriegn nations that have not even attacked us. Since 2002 the actions of this country are complete juevenile, uneducated, ignorant, and down right disgraceful. This war as brought upon a debt of $4,700 per man woman and child in the united states with no end in sight. So yeah, whats 750,000 more dollars we dont have, just add it to the bill.
