CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- A new medical clinic will be named in honor of a Navy Corpsman who was killed in Afghanistan.
The U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command will dedicate the clinic to Hospital Corpsman Second Class Charles "Luke" Milam during a ceremony at Camp Lejeune on Friday. The clinic is one of only two medical facilities owned and operated exclusively by the Marine Corps.
Milam was killed in 2007 in Helmand Province during an attack on a Taliban stronghold. It was his fourth combat deployment.

The Navy Corpsmen in RVN
The Navy Corpsmen in RVN would put their lives on the line at the drop of a hat to take care of our sorry butt's and most of the time never got the recognition they deserved except from us.
SEMPER FI to all CORSPMEN, the marines Doctor's.
One more thing many Corpsmen are trained right along side the marines that they will be serving from jumping out of planes, helos and scuba qualified they are as much a MARINE as the MARINE they will be working with.

Good Show
one of the bravest men to serve under me in Southeast Asis was our Corpsman. They never abandon a fallen comrade. Too often their deeds were overlooked.
