NC pedestrian killed as train hits car

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- A man has died at a North Carolina hospital after a train hit a car, sending it into the pedestrian. The News & Record of Greensboro reported that the man died Wednesday at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. The man's name has not been released. Authorities say the crash happened around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday after the car went into reverse and onto the tracks. The train struck the car, which then struck the man.
