CLINTON, N.C. (AP) -- A Pennsylvania company has chosen a site in eastern North Carolina to build a plant that will produce electricity from poultry waste. Fibrowatt LLC announced Wednesday that the project will create about 100 jobs in Sampson County. The site is near numerous chicken and turkey farms. The company was created in 2000, and opened its first poultry waste plant last year in Benson, Minn. The cost of the North Carolina plant is expected to top $200 million. Company officials said they will seek financing. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
