NC police looking for man after finding 4 dead

CONOVER, N.C. -- North Carolina authorities are looking for a man who may have information about the deaths of four people found in a Catawba County home. WSOC-TV reports that the bodies of a woman and her three children - two girls and a young boy - were found around 7 a.m. Thursday in a home just north of Conover. Authorities say the victims all had been either shot or stabbed to death. Officials say a neighbor called 911 after seeing the mother attacked on her front porch. Authorities are looking for a man in his late 30s or early 40s, about 5-foot-4 who was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt. Officials say he may be in a black or dark blue Toyota Camry. Four nearby schools have been put on lockdown while authorities search the area. Conover is about 40 miles northwest of Charlotte. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
