Sheriffs from across North Carolina convened in Wrightsville Beach today.
For three days they will be at the Holiday Inn Resort to focus on training, including leadership and strategy sessions. They will also get an overview of laws passed in the state legislature.
The State Sheriffs Association holds these conferences twice a year.
But.. THese politicians can spend $$
Bit.. It's ok for them to spend money.... They are elected officials and I am certain the Sunspree sin't $5 per day...
No county building in NC could hold the 100 sworn Sheriff's in NC at no cost?? With discounted catering from local busnesses?

Sheriff's meet at Wrightsville Beach
The best thing about having the Sheriffs association meeting in New Hanover county is they all have to eat and stay somewhere. Good for our local businesses and economy.
Also, it's great because Sheriff McMahon lives here in Wilmington and doesn't need to stay at the hotel. Hope they have it again here next year.
