NC troops to get computers before Iraq deployment

FORT BRAGG -- A nonprofit organization and a computer company will present 100 refurbished computers to the soldiers and the families of 82nd Airborne Division preparing to deploy to Iraq. Operation Homefront and CDW will present the computers Thursday to the paratroopers from the 82nd's 3rd Brigade. The soldiers can use the computers to communicate with family members while deployed. The 3rd Brigade is slated to deploy to Iraq in November, and the 82nd's 1st and 4th Brigades will follow in summer or fall. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
