Point guard Freddie Jackson still has one more year at New Hanover High School, but he already knows where he'll play college hoops. He announced his decision on Monday. Jackson told WWAY that his recent conversations with UNCW head coach Buzz Peterson made him decide to stay in the Port City. Jackson said "We had our little UNCW camp and I met with him and just talked about everything. He made me feel so comfortable and I walked away from there, from that day thinking about it. And I've just been thinking about it ever since."
Jackson averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists last season for New Hanover. His head coach at NHHS is Kirk Angel.
