New Hanover County consolidating to save money

New Hanover County government is making some administrative changes. County Manager Bruce Shell announced the County Parks and Rec. Department, Airlie Gardens and the Senior Resource Center will consolidate. Shell said the move will streamline the departments and help save the county money and resources in the long run. He could not specify how much the move would save. Shell also said that no one lost their job in the streamlining process.
