New way for unemployed to file for compensation

North Carolina's Employment Security Commission is introducing a new way for the newly unemployed to file a compensation claim. The ESC said its new phone system has a voice recognition system that will guide the jobless through the process of filing an unemployment claim. The system will be up and running Wednesday. The toll-free number is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week. It is 877-841-9617.

Re: Unemployment

...but it's still a 6 to 8 week process to receive unemployment benefits! Here's an idea...hire and train more people to process the claims. This would employ more people and expedite the claims process. Kill two birds with one stone! **Contact your local state representative or state senator to help expedite the process.**
