High school hoops: Hoggard boys beat Trask, Pender boys nip Laney, CFA girls win in ot

videoTuesday is typically a full night for high school hoops. We had game action from Rocky Point. It was the first meeting ever in basketball between Trask and Hoggard. In Buctown the Pender boys edged Laney with a come from behind win. We checked out an overtime affair between Cape Fear Academy and Coastal Christian. We had UNCW women's basketball action too.

Fight mars CFCC basketball game; Seahawk women improve to 2-0 with win over Campbell

videoThe referees had to stop Wednesday's basketball game at Cape Fear Community College due to a fight that broke out right before halftime between the Louisburg men's basketball team and CFCC. There weren't any scuffles at UNCW. The Seahawk women's basketball team did beat Campbell though. UNCW is now 2-0 on the season.

UNCW men picked 9th in preseason CAA basketball poll, UNCW women picked 10th

videoUNCW's Cedrick Williams and Kelva Atkins garnered individual honors at the CAA Basketball Media Day, but the CAA media didn't predict high finishes for the UNCW basketball teams this season.

Seahawk men's soccer team wins again; Basketball media day for UNCW women

videoUNCW was the place to be on Wednesday for Seahawk sports. The nationally ranked men's soccer team won once again. The women's basketball team at UNCW held their annual media day. We were there for both.

videoUNCW was full of screaming, enthusiastic school children on Thursday. Nearly 5,000 spectators, mainly school children, packed into Trask Coliseum in order to watch the UNCW women's basketball team play NC A&T. The Aggies left town with a victory though as the Seahawks fall to 1-10. Tom O'Brien left Raleigh last month, but he's going to stay in the ACC. Plus more!
