The Columbus County mother who drove her daughter to a parking lot brawl with another teen has pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor. WWAY was the only media outlet in the courtroom when Aneshia Cartret entered her plea this afternoon.

Aneshia Cartret was scheduled for court in Whiteville Tuesday morning but her case has now been moved to June 14. An attorney representing Cartret asked that the mom's case be continued for another date; the court granted the request.

The Whiteville mother accused of taking her daughter to a street fight and then cheering her on is no longer an employee of Columbus County Schools. On Monday night the Columbus County Board of Education spent part of their monthly meeting behind close doors to discuss Aneshia Cartret's employment status.
