Cooper's season over as Cardinals place Hoggard grad on IR

videoJonathan Cooper's season is officially over before it even began. The Arizona Cardinals, who selected the Hoggard High School and UNC grad with the seventh overall pick in April's NFL Draft, placed Cooper on season-ending injured reserve.

Hoggard alum Cooper agrees to deal with NFL's Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have reached a contract agreement with first-round draft pick Jonathan Cooper. The four-year deal is worth about $14.5 million, the maximum allowed under the NFL collective bargaining agreement for Cooper, a Hoggard alum, as the seventh pick overall.
