That's why over 700 people lined up at Airlie Gardens Friday night to do some star gazing. Star Parties around the state kicked off North Carolina's Science Festival. The goal is to get people more interested in science.

Just days before Christmas we all received a very special treat this morning. For the first time in nearly 400 years, a lunar eclipse occurred during winter solstice at 2:41 a.m.
